I'm not a shipper but I enjoy your reactions, and these videos. Imo, some some of it is that Jimin (and V as well) is a touchy-feely kind of guy. He is very affectionate and brings it out in others. Some of it is fan service. Right or wrong, they notice the reaction from crowds when they are affectionate or flirty, and of course they love to make fans happy. Part of it is Korean culture among men who are close friends. We can't assume meaning based on what we see in our own cultures. I don't judge. I don't believe there is anything beyong platonic love among any of the members. If it turns out otherwise, I have no problem with that either. I love them all just the way they are. I wish nothing but happiness for all them.

seriously I agree with you on how "risky" this show felt. I watched Word of Honor after first seeing The Untamed. And there were parts of The Untamed that surprised me with what they were able to portray, but WOH is..... uh. 😅😅 like. one of my favorite things is that they were able to include the whole shoulder poison thing. IDK if you've now watched the show but if you have you know what I mean. But then there's so much more than that and so much like hugging and the looks and some of the stuff that is said is. so. blatantly. obviously. like how! The craziest thing is how some scenes in Word of Honor, the stuff that's happening is so emotional and gripping and I would completely forget for a moment how physically close they were being until later and then i would just be like, wait a minute, they really did that. Now I know my comment is 2 years late, but since I got into the danmei, and Chinese BL adaptations fandom, I've learned a lot more about the censorship. There were some shows around 2015-2016, most famously Addicted, which I suspect caused censorship to get stricter (not their fault -it was more like, uhoh, we see this thing getting some popularity, and we better take it down and be stricter in the future!!) Now, I've been meaning to watch Addicted and this other show that came out in 2015, both of which are adaptations of novels by the same author, Chai Ji Dan. My understanding is her books are very steamy, so the adaptations are still toned down a LOT, but... Addicted was pulled from whatever platform it was being shown on before being finished and I don't know if it was ever completed or not, but you can watch it now and there's both cut and uncut versions floating around at least of the episodes that were available. I don't know for sure but it's my understanding that there's like ACTUAL physical intimacy shown in Addicted, I don't know how far it went but I've seen pictures and clips and been like???? In 2015 there was a show, Counterattack or Falling in Love with a Rival based on a Chai Jidan novel, and that can be found online as well. and there's cut/uncut versions you can find. (potentially on sketchy sites lol). I watched a clip from that show where characters go into a gay bar. This guy is on another guy's lap, they're making out, and then another character walks up and slaps the guy's ass. I.... seriously with everything I thought I knew about Chinese censorship of LGBTQ stuff, I wouldn't have thought that you used to be able to show MORE in 2015 than you can now. But it seems a lot of censorship rules have formed in REACTION to certain shows. I think the strictness ebbs and flows a little, and it depends on how popular they think something is going to be. But now, after The Untamed and Word of honor, with Word of Honor getting way more popular than they expected, it seems that we're in yet another level of strictness with regards to censorship, where projects that were in the works were shelved indefinitely (someone correct me if I'm wrong - I'm thinking Immortality and Eternal Faith, based on The Husky and His White Cat Shizun, and Tian Guan Ci Fu/Heaven Official's Blessing respectively) with basically a freeze on releasing anything based on a BL. There was this show Spirealm based on a BL that recently was released on streaming, then immediately taken down (but fans downloaded all the eps!!!), and now apparently? has gone back on streaming, but I'm not sure if it's been edited or what. But from what I've seen of that show so far (eps downloaded by fans), it's so incredibly tame, and I suspect that in years past it wouldn't have been taken down just for what they showed. One of the actors does have that flirty, gaze longingly thing going on, the other guy is a very oblivious type lol. I hope the tides turn again at some point. Speaking of Chai Jidan novels, there's yet another show based on one of her works that was released in 2017 called Advance Bravely. Since this was after Addicted, I assume it had to be very censored in comparison, although I've watched episode 1, and just watching the opening credits I was like "I AM SORRY WHAT AM I SEEING HAPPENING HERE?" It's about this woman who has a crush on a rich guy who's a boxer, and asks her brother to help (and her brother.... runs a bodyguard company? spies on people??) but then the rich guy falls in love with her brother instead.... And, the actor Gong Jun who plays Wen Kexing in WOH was the rich guy in Advance Bravely. Just seeing the opening credits of that show I feel like it probably was steamier and less censored than Word of Honor in certain parts. I was so taken off guard. It's still definitely censored and fans recommend watching it along with reading the novel because the show is so confusing due to that censorship, but again, it still feels like they could get away with showing more physical stuff even then.
